UK's club land as one of the most consistent and
successful urban music specialists to date.
Since their launch in 1990 and with over 40 years
combined experience, London based Rampage have
enjoyed phenomenal success,
covering
International Clubs, Radio DJ'ing, Presenting and
Promotions. Since 1995 they have also impacted other
music related areas with their talent for,
Production, Song Writing, Re-mixing and Artist
Development. Rampage's infrastructure also includes
Marketing, Artist Management, Graphics and Design,
and Marketing.
Rampage have been awarded such accolades as: 'Best
Newcomers of 1993' - When their stage at Europe's
largest annual street festival, London's Notting
Hill Carnival attracted over 100,000 revellers.
'Best DJ' - at the 1995 Black Music Awards. 'Best
Filmed Club' - by ITV's, BPM programme, who aired
the Rampage recording three times and nominated an
unprecedented 5 times in recent times for the MOBOS
best club and best radio DJ.Other recent accolades
include a Sony Silver award for a live simulcast
between London, Cyprus and Spain on Radio 1 and
1xtra and being voted 2nd best radio show in the
country by industry respected Campaign magazine.
Rampage's production and re-mixing skills have been
utilised by major companies, Universal/MCA and RCA.
Their song writing credits include a track on the
'Red Hot and Latin' album. In 1995 Rampage released
their debut album 'Priority One', which produced a
Top 40 single and a video that also made the Top 3
on the Box. Rampage's talent for production and
artist development, were very significant too and
resulted in London Records recently signing, brand
new singing sensation, Lifford. As well as
co-producing underground hits such as Melody with
Masterstepz.
Rampage have co-promoted and organised live events,
alongside London's premier Independent Radio
Stations, Kiss FM and Choice FM. They have also
successfully brought over many top US R'n'B acts for
sold out UK performances and appeared on many UK
tours including platinum selling artists, Snoop Dogg,
Dr Dre, Jay-Z, Dru Hill and SWV and UK artists such
as Artful dodger and Miss Dynamite. Rampage have
attracted sponsorship from shoe chain Shelly's Shoes
of London, Rondor Music, BBC Radio One, BBC 1xtra,
Ministry of Sound(Smoove),
Vivendi-Universal(Bulletproof,Scarface.)
Rampage guest once a month at many of the U.Ks
premier nights, in London, Newcastle, Leeds,
Huddersfield, Middlesborough, Cardiff, Swansea,
Newport)and Brighton. They also cross the Irish
Channel to perform in Derry and Belfast Northern
Ireland.
Rampage continue to host shows up and down the
country and have an established nation-wide
following. It is normal to attend a live concert in
the UK with top R'n'B artists such as Usher or Jay-Z
and find Rampage rocking the audience before,
between and after performances. A large part of the
crowd will definitely let you know that it's Rampage
they've come to hear.
Rampage's most proven skill, is knowing what to
deliver to their audience. There is a current worry
among Major UK recording companies regarding the
marketing of UK R'n'B. Rampage have no such worries,
they have never underestimated the importance of
performing to a live audience and are in touch with
the market on a world-wide level.
2006 saw Rampage consolidate its position on the U.K
club circuit with the continued success of club
nights that they launched back in 2001, Heart and
Soul (a prestigious up market brand), and 2 Rooms of
Funk and Obssesion. Rampage has also consolidated
their international appeal by hosting a regular R&B
night in Dubai. This year Rampage expanded further
into the summer holiday clubbing circuit by
establishing a weekly night in Malia as well as
maintaining their Saturday nights in Ayia Napa and
monthly appearances in Ibiza, Barcelona, Athens,
Magaluf and Malta.
August 2002 saw Mike and T launch the 1st national
radio station for fans of black music BBC 1xtra. Six
years on and the station continues to prosper with
Mike and T hosting the popular breakfast show from
Monday to Friday.
A spokesperson for Rampage summed it all up by
saying: 'Rampage connects directly to the hearts of
the people on the dancefloor - because we provide
the beats'.
